Falcon and Winter Soldier ended – What’s up next?

With breakdowns of the season finale from Emergency Awesome and New Rockstars theorizing what will come – such as Sharon Carter in Secret Invasion – we now ask ourselves what’s up next since there will be a small gap in the time schedule before Loki starts. But first, New Rockstars mentions in the last breakdown of episode 6 that Sharon Carter “governmental access” also could open up for Armor Wars, a thing that I suspect that not everyone have been thinking of this far. But imagine; with access to techology directly linked to the government is perfectly referring to when stuff gets in the wrong hands.

While we still build the API we expect that next week will not be entirely empty, even if we haven’t checked the internet flows for a while. For example, the way Disney+ presenting the MCU right now, there should be a new episode of “Marvel Studios: Assembled” next week going for The Making of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

And since the final episode of Captain America and The Winter soldier, there’s also a announcement of Captain America 4 that we are pushing out, both in the API and the prior MCU Timeline. This also opens up for a new extra resource for the API for what’s coming up next in order (Example: https://tools.tornevall.com/api/mcu/coming). In short, you should always be able to see what’s coming next in the schedule. Which leads us to the next point: HULU – and maybe also Star.

If don’t only count the TV-shows and MCU Films, the next thing coming in date order is as you can see above the M.O.D.O.K. animated series that was announced in february. A new post arrived at Marvel HQ just a few days ago. Even if it is supposed to be a HULU-only release, I do hope that it will be shared with Star also so that all Marvel hungry fans can continue digest more content during this spring and summer.

Do you have ideas for the MCU API?

Yeah, we’ve just included a search function in the MCU API. Parts of the API, when communicating with it, will automatically fetch some basic info from IMDB what will make the API partially searchable with a “find”-request.

If you have further ideas of what to include in a generic API for the MCU, feel free to get in touch! You can do it via the contact page.

For example, if you want to fetch all MCU related movies where Chris Evans has been an actor you can simply run a request like this: /api/mcu/find/Evans.

The finder API will then look for the data in some of the selected columns that will be returned in the request like this (be aware that the URL in the screenshot is a development server and is not guaranteed to always work). The database is also currently incomplete as this is built on tests.

Black Widow confirmed to go DisneyPlus premier – Pushing Shang-Chi forward in time

This morning we woke up to a Black Widow premiere update. It has been pushed forward, again, to July 9 but will also be available for premier access at DisneyPlus, with additional fees. This actually also means that Black Widow has taken the place of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which now has been delayed three months. As it seems, Shang-Chi will instead have its premiere September 3. The timeline has therefore also been updated with proper information.

Marvel Studios announcements for march 2021, a quick look

Estado-Providência (@___mellowed___) | Twitter

Many of us wonder if there will be a tenth episode of WandaVision since the finale next week will otherwise leave a gap the following week after that. Disney recently released a list over what’s coming in march, and “Marvel Studios: Avante” is one of those announcements. This also makes us believe that a tenth episode is most unlikely to happen. The announcement is described as below:

Marvel Studios Avante is an immersive documentary series that analyzes the creation of new programs and new films from Marvel Studios. The first episode will be about the successful WandaVision.

However, there are also further, more official announcements, of a docuseries callled “Making of WandaVision”, which may be correct title of “Avante” (unconfirmed). This leaves us with plenty of material during the gap, as the next episode of “Marvel Studios: Legends” also continues to stream four more episodes, with Falcon and The Winter Soldier as a theme.

There has also been speculations of a tenth episode due to a Disney Plus statement, that vaguely insinuates that there are “only two episodes left” and the count of episodes leaves us open with an open goal of (sometimes stupid) guesses, whether “two episodes left” includes the current eight episode or not. Tha unofficial statements are actually a long shot, since we believe that the gap will already be filled with the above announcements.

And with a fresh memory, Marvel Studios: Legends happened the week before the WandaVision premiere in a similar way – which also leaves us with a new question: Will Falcon and The Winter Soldier get the same premiere schedule?

WandaVision is on air but Disney+ is not?!

People around the world have asked about the Disney+ streaming services and how to get their hands on WandaVision. There’s still countires where Disney+ still hasn’t laucnched yet.

During the investors meeting, 11 december, some of this information reached the audience while some still remained unclear. What we know this far is this – and some of this information is also covered by a wikipedia page here.

As we know from before (above), keep an eye on what will happen in the end of february. A better overview from wikipedia tells us that Disney isn’t done yet.

MCU: Saturday maintenance and new release date for WandaVision S01E02

Since WandaVision is set for a double-header premiere next week (meaning, two episodes will be released instead of just one), we’ve also updated the MCU timeline with new release dates. The timeline is now also expanded with the full list of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with IMDB references since they’ve been missing in the list. That said, the schedule is filled with series until the end of april and the followed by Black Widow. Morbius will be released between the series, but is currently not counted due to the circumstances (Sony and the fact that Morbius may only be vaguely related to the MCU).

Jimmy Kimmel – WandaVision – presents a 1960’s bewitched episode

Elisabeth Olsen is currently in London, supposed to film for Doctor Strange 2, but since the hospitals are overwhelmed due to COVID-19 (London is experiencing a second strict lockdown), they can’t go back to work which may mean there could be delays.

Jimmy Kimmel talks with her regarding fan theories and WandaVision. Unfortunately, Elisabeth, can’t tell much that isn’t already revealed – and the only thing we still surely know is that Wanda and Vision are living their sitcom dreams. They have all the american sitcoms, starting with the 1950’s a la Dick Van Dyke (which they also filmed in front of a live studio audience).

Questions like if Vision’s tie is a clue is unanswered and Elisabeth explains that even if the easter eggs – even if they were real, they’d go way above her head. She also denies the fact that WandaVision is built on the popular comic book House of M with the response: “Our prop guy Russel would be a very clever man if he put that in”. Which in fact can caused by the way easter eggs are being broadcast to the fans (except for the regular restrictions that disallows the actors to reveal information). So there are plenty standard denials amongst the fan theory questions. Emergency Awesome is breaking down this here.

The Jimmy Kimmel show also presents a first never-before-seen clip, from a 1960’s Bewitched episode (see below with the full video from Jimmy Kimmel) from the series. It is extracted from the Jimmy Kimmel show just below the youtube-clip.

When does WandaVision occur in the MCU timeline?

It is known that “Earth616” is trying to keep track of when events in the MCU timeline ocurs. Likewise it is for WandaVision, which is still under discussion amongst some fans. So far, there are only theories that the events itself initializes shortly, up to year, after the events of Avengers: Endgame. So according to the timeline of MCU, the initial events probably lands in 2023-2024 MT (McuTime).

According to Collider, WandaVision will be paying homage to virtually every decade of TV sitcoms, but what this really means to the “occuring time” is still unknown.

Inverse is also theorizes the possibilities that WandaVision is taking inspiration from House of M.

WandaVision officially states a release date

Occording to several sources, amongst them Disney + themselves and The Verge, the show is now scheduled to 15 janury 2021. The MCU timeline has been updated!
